This is the fourth tournament for the young squad and for the fourth straight time they add hardware to their growing collection.
13U Bombers Champs At Eggleston Park
The 13U Butler County Bombers (pictured below) won their third tournament of the season this weekend at Eggleston Park. Eight teams entered the tournament from the SWOL and the Bombers once again proved victorious.   12U Bombers Win Beast Summer Classic!
The 12U Bombers took 1st over a large group of teams in Xenia at the Athletes In Action facility. What great fields and hospitality. The boys played with a never let up attitude and made some amazing plays. The outfield was catching balls that looked like sure hits, the infield stealing hard hit balls in the holes, catchers freezing base runners, and the pitching was just great. As good as all that was, it didn't compare with the hitting. The boys launched a bat attack that could not be stopped. 16 home runs (a Bomber record) including 5 by Terrick Gehron, 3 by Tyler Mcdaniel, and a Grand Slam in the Championship by David Lennon. The Bombers crossed the plate 58 timesin the victory

  12U Bombers Win Hunter-Break Records
The 12U Bombers won the Hunter Classic in an exciting come from behind finish. Down 11-1 at one point the boys fought but were still down 11-5 in the bottom of the 6th against Miamisburg. Eric Reed got things rocking with a lead off single followed by a 2 run blast from Caleb Wells. Then a single by Tyler McDaniel was followed by a 2 run blast by T.J.Cifuentes.Then a walk for Terrick Gehron was followed by a 2 run Blast by Keenan Carter. And finally singles by Kyle Shouse and Korey Carter were followed by a 3 run game winning blast by Kyle Short. Kyle was mugged at home plate and I don't think he minded at all. Along the way to winning the tournament the boys broke a couple of records that they had set earlier at a tournament.
25 home runs for the tournament
7 home runs for Keenan Carter
Perfect game pitched by Garrett Downing, Alex Anders, and Keenan Carter on Friday.
Pitching was excellent throughout the tournament along with some great defensive plays, including a jumping catch in center by Terrick Gehron to rob a home run. Errors hurt early in the Championship game but the boys played till the last out and prevailed.
