12U National's Runner Ups in Xenia!!
The 12U Bombers finished runner-ups at Xenia's AIA Fields this weekend. The boys won two games on Saturday but were still seeded third for Sunday's pool play, requiring them to play three games on Sunday. The Bombers played great on Sunday, especially notable was their comeback win against strong league rival The Force after being down 7-0 after the first inning. The cold weather and back to back to back games on Sunday finally caught up as the Bombers lost in the championship game against a powerful Central Ohio Select team. The offense was strong all weekend, as the Bombers won 9-4 over the Dayton Dodgers, 37-5 over Brick City,11-10 over the Springfield Heat, and then 10-9 over the Ohio Force. The Bombers played long ball, with three home runs by Bash, one each by Drew and Hunt, and grand slams by Jake and Tommy. The team batting average was .414 and the Bombers outscored their opponents 70-40. The pitchers also did well, with Alan, Jimmy, Jake, and Hunt recording wins, and Jimmy and Joe each recorded a save. It was a fun time for the coaches and parents who are all looking forward to warmer weather!
8U CHAMPS In Kentucky!!
The 8U Butler County Bombers travelled South for the Holiday Weekend to Morehead, KY FIELD OF DREAMS PARK to participate in the Cave Run July 4th Bash. Teams came from Eastern Kentucky, Waynesville, OH, Columbus, OH, Cave Run, Kentucky and the Bombers to take their shot at bringing home some hardware.

From the first pitch, the Bombers were on fire. In game 1, the Bombers faced a tough Eastern KY team, but the team dominated winning a mercy rule game 11-1.

In Game 2, the Bombers faced League Rival Waynesville Spartans and again, the Bombers rallied hitting Bomb after Bomb to roll to a victory, 15-4.

Earning the number 1 seed of the tournament, the Bombers came into the Semi-Final game to face the Waynesville Spartans once again. The Bombers were victorious again 14-8.

In the Championship Game, the Bombers faced a tough Columbus Sharks team, but the Bombers were not going to be satisfied with 2nd place. This team again dominated from the first pitch and cruised to a 9-2 victory.

WOW, what a weekend for this talented 8U Bombers team. Great job BOMBERS!!!
12U Bombers take Second at Florence Spring Fling!!
It was a great weekend of baseball, with another power explosion by Reid "Babe Ruth" Cable, who hit five homeruns and had 13 RBI's. It was some kind of great effort by the 12U Bombers, as they played six games in four consecutive days, and three games on a long Sunday afternoon and evening at Florence Freedom Stadium. On Friday the Bombers defeated a talented Ohio Heat team 12-4, then on Saturday came back to Florence to defeat the Louisville Samurai 6-2, which included three innings against the hardest throwing pitcher the boys may face all season. On Sunday the boys arrived at the stadium about noon and did not leave until about 9:45. During that time they defeated the Monroe Swarm 16-1, the 11U Flames 9-3, and then lost the championship game to league rival Cincy Riverbats 12-4. Goose Doeple had two home runs against the Riverbats and Tommy Isaacs had 7 RBI's on the weekend. The team batting average was .389 and included 45 runs in five games. Bomber pitchers held their opponents to a .202 batting average and struck out 22 batters. Wins were recorded by Jimmy, Tommy,Reid, and Brett.
12U Bombers Win May Day Classic
We want to thank all the teams who played in the Bombers' May Day Classic. There were many well-played games that provided plenty of excitement for the families and friends who watched the games.
